consider the seed/

of the rambling mustard shrub–/

a shelter for birds/

one tiny black seed/

filled with boundless energy/

hopeful in the cold/

being truly blessed/

by both bible and quran/

for an immense task/

its selfless sole goal/

will create a perfect place–/

a haven for all/

Dawn

Pins Meet Needles

Weather change, hope waits
Wind backs around, a promise
Smell it, taste it, soon

Conserving America

Smiling, open both eyes

Don’t hold your nose, speak freely

Smell the rose of hope

Hope

Quiet snap of sunrise

This day’s deeds and words lead to

Soft sigh at lights out
